Security work in Gilbert

Gilbert is mostly roof after roof of HOA housing, and the security problems follow that pattern. Power Ranch, Val Vista Lakes, and the communities along Higley and Power are full of alley-loaded garages, shared mailbox islands, and side yards that a front doorbell never sees. Agritopia adds a tighter, older-feeling street grid with front porches closer to the sidewalk. The Heritage District is the exception: smaller commercial buildings, restaurants, and offices where the camera has to watch a patio and a back door, not a cul-de-sac.

HOA architectural committees here are active. A white bullet camera on a tan pop-out gets a letter. We plan mounts that tuck under the eave, use colors that match the stucco, and keep the lens on your own property. Lakes and greenbelts also change the light. A camera pointed west across water at 5 p.m. needs a different exposure than one under a covered entry. We set that on site instead of leaving the picture washed out.

Gates show up more often than people expect: community vehicle gates, a private side gate into a backyard, and the occasional builder model with a pedestrian gate on the greenbelt. An intercom or a camera on that gate is a separate aim from the front door. Families also ask for an alarm that still works when the kids are home and the system should not arm the whole house. We program stay and away the way the household actually lives, and we leave a written note of which doors are on which mode.
