Surprise contains Sun City Grand, which is an age-restricted community with its own streets and gates, and it sits beside Sun City and Sun City West, which are separate places. We do not treat those as one neighborhood. Inside Surprise proper, the housing north and west of the original town is newer, with HOA walls and community parks. Along Dysart and Bell the commercial buildings are medical offices, restaurants, and retail bays. Each of those needs a different sensor layout.

In Sun City Grand and similar communities, the request is often simple equipment that a resident can use without a grandchild resetting it. Large touchscreens that bury the arm button are a bad fit. We label stay and away in plain language, put the keypad where it can be reached, and make the app optional instead of mandatory. Medical pendants are not our product. Door contacts, a motion that ignores the dog's path if we can, and a camera on the front door and the garage are.

Newer family neighborhoods and the retail strips need the usual commercial-residential split. Houses get the yard gate and the doors. A dental office or a restaurant on the retail corner gets cameras on the entrance, the office, and the back door, plus a phone line or VoIP handset if the front desk is still forwarding calls to a personal cell. Community vehicle gates inside Surprise can take an intercom when the association wants visitors to be seen before the arm rises. That is quoted to the association or the property manager, not buried in a homeowner's camera order.
