Security work in Peoria

Peoria runs from an older street grid near Old Town and Grand Avenue up to master-planned neighborhoods around Lake Pleasant Parkway and Vistancia. Those are different buildings. The older houses have additions, converted garages, and alarm wire from a panel that may have been monitored by three companies since 2005. The northern communities have guarded or keypad gates, long driveway stacks, and HOA rules written for a specific elevation. We do not carry one diagram for both.

Old Town and the neighborhoods south of it often want the simple version done properly: contacts on the doors that open to the alley or the side yard, a motion that is not aimed at a window the sun hits, and cameras on the driveway and the back gate. Attics in these houses are hot, and we do not leave a recorder sitting on insulation. It goes in a closet or a conditioned interior wall, with cable dressed so the next technician can tell which run is which.

Farther north, the request is usually the gate and the vehicles, plus an alarm that can be armed from a phone because the homeowners travel. Community gates are not ours to rebuild, but the private drive gate or the pedestrian gate at the house is. An intercom or a camera there lets someone see the delivery without walking the length of the drive. We also separate that camera from any community network. Your recorder should not depend on a neighbor's Wi-Fi.
